I have a habit of snapping photos of barns en route from the front passenger seat of our moving van. Often with the window rolled up. Sometimes there isn't time to roll it down. There are some beautiful barns in Snohomish (where we live) and all across Washington state. This one above is East of Mazama, WA.
I think this one is somewhere between Snohomish and Monroe along the back roads. I could be wrong, though.
This is definitely North, probably heading towards Mazama. One of Adams closest friends lived in Mazama, and we went to stay in a cabin for the weekend.
This is a terrible photo, the camera was propped up on something and I had to run from and hop onto the porch to beat the timer. We stayed in this cabin- the kids look so small here! This was a few years back.
Another blurry barn shot. So beautiful out there in farm country. Barns are works of art. I need to dedicate a whole day to driving around locally and capturing them before the rain destroys them all.
Another Mazama area barn.
The best thing about being surrounded by barns is looking for "Barn Sales"! Wandering through someones old barn full of treasures is a hobby of mine. Now I am on the lookout for old barn wood to make some furniture out of. Happy Saturday!♥♥
You are missing the most photographed barn in WA state! Do a google image search on "blewett pass barn ellensburg wa"... the first three images are it. Almost always makes a good photo, whether snowy, sunny, or stormy skies! Keep your camera ready if you are ever going over that pass, so you can add it to your collection! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tasha, that IS beautiful. Sometimes I think the more broken down the barn, the more beautiful the photo.
