What's For Snack?

Sometimes this house is all about the food.  Breakfast is devoured at the speed of light.  "Seconds" are always requested.  This morning it was fresh eggs from Nadine (check out her blog) http://nadinesnook.blogspot.com/, scrambled in a frenzy with toast on the side.  For some reason it is very satisfying to me to see a child eating a hearty meal.  What surprises me is how hungry they will still be in an hour.  Endless food questions abound, "What's for snack?"  "When is lunch?" Oh, and if I am sneaking something secretly, "What are you eating?"
My husband Adam is a joker with each question aimed at him, and will generally give a far fetched answer.  This morning when a girl asked,"What are you making?" Without skipping a beat, he replied," Scrambled Chloe."  (Chloe is one of our cats.)  As these kids all know to do, she redirected her gaze at me to look for the reassuring wink that could only mean that Adam is kidding.
