Triangles

We are learning about the triangle shape.  When we are learning a shape, we often review during group time and try to locate items in the room that represent that shape.   Triangles are not easy to find!  I usually end up using this worksheet to drive it home.  Since the kids cannot read yet, I go ahead and mark each word with the corresponding color so the kids can find that color and color the triangle the correct shade.

This is what they do at the top of the worksheet.  It's a simple task- they are used to seeing it now!

It doesn't seem like much, but the kids take quite a bit of time to do this!  They all did a wonderful job. :)

They continued the hunt for triangles outside.  This little guy is having a birthday soon and found himself a triangle birthday hat.

The others joined in.  It was a party!
