Coffee Filter Snowflakes

We dream of a White Christmas, too.   This morning we woke up to some leftover hail piles in the yard, that may be Western Washingtons version of a white Christmas.
We got out some coffee filters!
The main idea was to color with washable marker on the filters, wet them in the sink to make the colors run, and then dry it in front of the fireplace or heater.
Coffee filters can take a beating!
Fold into a triangle.
Choose your cuts wisely....
Now I had a blue snowflake to show the kids.
They, however, did not want to go through the whole wetting it down process.  They colored the filters to their liking.  This was perfect- all snowflakes are different, remember?
Steph was happy to hang them up for us.  We made use of the herb drying line.
It was nice to have some dangling below!
Meanwhile, Aiden had grown tired of the whole thing.  Alexis worked diligently. ♥
I love the colorful snowflakes!  Happy Wednesday!♥ Happy 4th Birthday to my niece, Mia, too!♥♥♥
