This happened at group time yesterday.
It was really hard to get anything done. When Smudge bombs group time we spend the whole time trying to deal with his cute factor.
When we didn't come out and feed him treats, he just moved a little closer to display his cute. I love this cat.
He just inched in, slowly. Maybe if he attacks my sweater, I will feed him treats. We were all struggling to pay attention to the story, or ANYTHING at this point.
"Well, then I will just parade around back and forth until you obey my commands." He ultimately got exactly what he wanted. Treats were fed to him by each child. This cat catches moles, rats, mice (and unfortunately, birds). He can have whatever he wants. He is the best cat I have ever had. EVER. We still get the paper together every morning if he is here in time.
Everything he does makes the kids laugh.
Since we were so distracted, we moved the book to the table so we could complete our story exploring exercise. Story exploring is when you take a book and expand it into a lesson. The moral of this story was about being friends and helping each other. For fun afterward, we each created a duck and told a story about it.
The kids colored the ground for their ducks, colored the feet and beak, glued on an eye and added a couple of feathers. It was just enough to keep them busy!
It's very exciting when the kids can all answer my questions about their ducks!
♥♥♥Happy Friday!♥♥♥
