We had these worksheets yesterday but I decided against them. The kids were extra busy and needed some more involved activities to stimulate their already busy minds.
Each child had a paper with the letter Dd drawn on it.
They used the paint dotters to add dots onto the letter Dd.
This was not really a project that involved much thought, but it was better than writing monotonously.
We moved on to counting to 4. I got out these awesome foam blocks- these are perfect for keeping little hands busy and intrigued while doing something mundane.
They each counted out loud to four as they collected four blocks from the tub.
We all did several small tasks with the blocks.
We lined them up and pushed them around like small caterpillars.
We created block towers and then created wind by blowing them down! Simple, but effective. The kids were not trying to hurry through it- but they were continuously counting to four. Mission completion!
