We were looking for something bright to hang on the art wall. To begin, cut a paper plate in half and some colorful paper strips. Cut out some yellow triangles and glue them onto the edge of the plate. Glue the paper strips to the back of the cut half of the plate.
Time to paint! "Do we need to paint the white away?" I reassured them for the millionth time, that yes, we should try to do that. It's so funny that the kids ask and re-ask the same questions over and over and over. I think they just like knowing that things are consistant.
When the plate is painted yellow, add some eyes! Because all suns must have eyes I suppose.
Roll the paper strips up around a pencil or a marker to give it a curly effect. Just for fun. It's visually stimulating.
My favorite part- add a smile. The quirkier the better. ♥
That is a nice burst of color!
The art wall is looking nice. It looks like we were aiming for a weather theme, but that wasn't the goal.
♥♥♥Happy Friday!♥♥♥
