Busy Bodies

This is what our morning weather chart looks like lately!  Rain, clouds, more rain..  We have been singing the "Rain rain go away" song an awful lot lately.  Mainly because we are concerned for the health of our baby pumpkin plants right now.  Yesterday we hopped outside to place some cups over our little plants because they have been attacked by slugs.  They desperately need the ground to warm up.  Come on, sunshine. 

The beautiful poppies do not fare well in the rain.  I rescued these so they wouldn't turn into mush.

We are still playing with the letter X.  We created X pretzels.

Again, brushing up on our fine motor skills and concepts at the work table.  They are all doing great.

We had a good old fashion emergency dance party to get all of our excess wiggles out. It is helpful!  We have been busy bodies now that my energy is back.  Go go go!

I tried this approach instead of hollering at my teenage daughter to "go clean your room".   (Click on the photo to get a better look.)  It did not work, but my hubby got a laugh out of it.  I'll have to leave another note today and see what happens!
