It's always a great day when this box arrives! For those of you who aren't familiar with Scholastic Book Clubs, it is a wonderful company that provides book order forms to kids in schools to order books at very low cost. I am so thankful that because of our business, we are able to be a part of Scholastic! They send me the order forms for the kids each month, and every time a parent orders online, Henle House gets points to use towards books. Children's books are such great learning tools!
I love to watch the kids' faces in grouptime when they relate to what is going on.
Yesterday we talked a lot about emotions. These two books were really fun to read with them because we got to share what our faces look like when we are mad or grumpy. We learned that eyebrows are a pretty good way to get our point across. "I'm mad!" (Eyebrows down..) etc.
I love when the illustrator does a great job drawing emotions. ♥
Meanwhile in the bathroom... WILL IT EVER GET DONE? Yesterday Adam and his uncle Matt sprayed texture in the bathroom. It was really loud, all of the kids were very interested in what was happening.
In what seemed like no time at all, the entire room was sprayed. It smelled terrible, but it looks beautiful!
I am so amazed at how just a little bit of texture is now hiding all of the wall snafu's I have created over the past five years. I can't wait to paint it! It's not quite dry this morning. We will paint tomorrow.
♥♥♥Happy Valentine's Day!♥♥♥
