Thank you Pinterest! I found this heart ladybug idea and had to add it to our February curriculum. To prepare, just cut out hearts as shown above.
Glue your large heart upside down near the bottom of the paper, and add a heart head, right side up and near the top of the paper.
This is fun and easy for all ages! For extra work with the older kids, give them heart stencils to trace and they can trace and cut out their own hearts. OF COURSE, I am the worst at remembering to do this.
The kids glued on eyes, a heart mouth, drew antenna's with a marker and glued hearts to the ends of them. They glued a black strip down the center of the large heart to separate the wings. It was time for fingerprint spots! We used a small washable ink pad, but washable paint would work just as well.
"Dip..dot..dip...dot..."
Look how sweet this is! I loved it, easy and fun.
♥♥♥Happy Tuesday!♥♥♥
