The kids are working on recognizing several things right now, the oval shape being one of them. They are working on recognizing and spelling their LAST names, the tricky colors teal and violet, and letters A through Q. It is conference week, so the kids are out of school today and tomorrow, as well as all of next week for Spring Break. That means a little bit of extra planning on my part. I've got to beef up the menu to feed ten kids, and keep them occupied with different activities to keep them busy and happy.
(That helps keep ME happy, too.)
I gave the kids some ovals, and they created whatever came to mind.
I failed to take photos!
Early one morning this week, Smudge got up onto the hutch to break in to the tin full of cat toys. It was as if he and Petra were carrying on a conversation.
Smudge, "Hey, want some toys?"
Petra, "Only if I don't have to try to get them. Drop them down to me."
Smudge did. He dug into the tin behind him and dropped down some mice, yarn, catnip pillows, and Petra's favorite- the pom poms we use for art.
"Thanks, Smudge."
"Just know that I am still boss." He replied with a long stare.
Baby Zuko came to see from afar. He is in awe of Smudge and often lies in wait to get the chance to "bop" him on the head as he marches by. It's hilarious.
♥♥♥Happy Thursday!♥♥♥
